Set on nearly 14 private wooded acres in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, Kingdom Cabin Retreat surrounds you with nature while giving you the comforts that make it easy to settle in. Wander the private trails, paddle across the pond, soak in the year-round hot tub, or spend an evening around the fire beneath a sky full of stars.
A CABIN MADE FOR SLOWER DAYS
Inside, warm wood finishes give the cabin the cozy Vermont character you'd hope to find here. Curl up by the wood stove, settle onto the sofa for a movie or board game, share an unhurried meal, or simply enjoy having nowhere you need to be.
The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals at the cabin, with major appliances, cookware, dishes, and everyday essentials. When the weather is warm, take your meal outside and enjoy the fresh Vermont air.
SLEEP & UNWIND
The cabin accommodates up to 6 registered guests with three separate sleeping spaces.
The first-floor primary bedroom features a queen bed.
Upstairs, the second bedroom has a full-size bunk bed, and the open loft offers an additional queen bed.
Please note that the loft and second bedroom are located upstairs and require stairs. The cabin has one full bathroom.

Step outside and nearly 14 acres are yours to explore.
Follow the trails through the woods, head down to the private pond for a peaceful paddle in the pedal boat, or relax beneath the pavilion near the water. In warmer months, picnic tables offer another spot for outdoor meals and long afternoons outside.
As evening settles in, gather around one of the property's fire pits, including the patio fire pit near the cabin, then end the night with a soak in the year-round hot tub on the covered porch.
It's the kind of place where morning coffee lasts a little longer, dogs have room to explore, and an evening around the fire can become one of your favorite parts of the trip.
EXPLORE THE NORTHEAST KINGDOM
Kingdom Cabin Retreat gives you a peaceful home base for exploring one of Vermont's most beautiful regions.
Victory Hill Trail Club is approximately 0.8 miles away, and Victory State Forest is approximately 1.6 miles from the cabin. Burke Mountain and the Kingdom Trails area are about 18 miles away.
You'll also be within driving distance of Lake Willoughby, Dog Mountain, Maidstone State Park, Victory Basin Wildlife Management Area, and the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge.
Or don't go anywhere at all. Some of the best days here are the ones spent right on the property.
DOG-FRIENDLY GETAWAYS
Up to 2 house-trained dogs are welcome with prior approval and the applicable pet fee. Puppies under 1 year are not permitted.
Please keep in mind that the property includes a large, unfenced pond and expansive wooded acreage.
GOOD TO KNOW
Kingdom Cabin Retreat accommodates up to 6 registered guests and is a two-story cabin with stairs required to access the second bedroom and loft.
The property is reached by maintained dirt roads that are suitable for most vehicles under normal conditions. During winter, snow and icy conditions are common and AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended.
We make every effort to have the driveway plowed before guest arrival. During active or ongoing storms, however, snow may accumulate until the plowing service can reach the property. The plowing service is not on-call, and timing varies with weather conditions.
Guests are responsible for clearing snow and ice from the deck, stairs, and walkway to the parking area as needed during their stay. A snow shovel and sand are provided.
For guest safety and security, one exterior surveillance camera monitors the driveway and surrounding entrance area. It records video and is positioned away from the house and private guest areas.

Very clear, accurate and detailed instructions in the description and the cabin itself! Would definitely recommend!

May 2026We visited in April [mud-season] and needed a lowkey school vacation. We regularly visited the hot-tub on the porch - big hit with our teen. We hiked, read on the couch by the fire, and nestled under blankets at the pavilion with its twinkly lights and big open sky. Everything was neat and clean. Full kitchen provided plenty of room and appliances for indulgent dinners. We brought groceries, but Mooselook Diner [am] and the Wildflower Inn [sunset] were worth the excursions. Trails on the property and across the road were easily accessible and scattered with moss-covered boulders. [no bugs in april!] Owners great with communication .Nearby Dog Mountain/Chapel is a must see for animal lovers. All season appeal ! Tranquil location with terrific amenities. We can’t wait to return to swim in the pond or snowshoe the trails !

April 2026As a bit of background, both my boyfriend and I were burnt out from work and desperately needed a vacation to get away and relax with our 2 dogs. With that said, I couldn't be happier that we decided to come here for some much needed R&R. The cabin was beautiful, the scenery was stunning, and the peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. The dogs LOVED playing in the snow and exploring, and my boyfriend and I loved playing games in the cozy den, cooking and eating in the well-stocked kitchen (even better stocked than I was expecting!), and the unmatched feeling of relaxing in a hot tub while nature is frozen around us. The property manager was pleasant to communicate with and made sure we were satisfied with our stay as well. Everything about this trip was wonderful, and we will happily be returning here in the future! :)

August 2025This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is clean and neat. Has everything you need. The addition of the pedal boat was an added bonus. Enjoyed the quiet and solitude. Breakfast on the porch or lunch at the gazebo by the pond was so relaxing. Our lab lived the water and we spent a lot of time on the trails. The hosts are great. No one bothers you but they do keep in touch by email to make sure you are happy with everything and if you need anything. They are very easy to get in touch with if you have any issues. We had an amazing time and will come back again next year!!

August 2025Check in was easy, great communication, private setting with no noise from the outside world. Speakers on the pavilion sound great, the pond was relaxing and a great getaway oasis. It was fun watching the baby frogs hop around the shore. Kitchen was clean, fully stocked with all the amenities, lots of plates/utensils/serving platters/etc. Hot tub is spacious and the grill works well. Beds were comfortable. More than enough towels for showers/hot tub/swimming

June 2025Perfect getaway This vacation rental is stunning. The cabin was so clean and welcoming. The owners left us a welcome basket with wine and goodies and even treats for the dogs. The property is so private and secluded and absolutely beautiful. We absolutely loved our time spent in the hot tub and walking the trails around the property with our dogs. The pond and fire pit were a great bonus to our trip. And the foliage..... Amazing. Highly recommend this wonderful rental and we can't wait to come back and experience all 4 seasons here. The owners kept in touch and made sure our stay was everything we were hoping for.

May 2025The cabin is in a beautiful, secluded part of Victory just off a sprawling nature reserve. The property itself is very private, I truly felt like I had the entire forest to myself! The cabin was immaculate, spacious & loaded with amenities. The hot tub was in perfect working order & was very clean. I solo'd this trip, but the space is more than large enough for multiple adults or a family. Michelle was an excellent host who took care of everything & pre-empted any questions I might have had before I had the opportunity to think of them. I would doubtlessly return!
